UPDATE: Power returns to RSU after blown transformer

CLAREMORE —

An electrical transformer that sends power to parts of Rogers State University exploded Thursday morning,   leaving the Administrative and Enrollment building in the dark.
RSU officials reported hearing an explosion just after 9 a.m. and the lights went out. Power was restored about two hours later.
The Administrative and Enrollment building houses RSU Public TV and RSU Radio. The transformer was located just east of the President’s residence.
Claremore Electric officials, as well as, Claremore Fire Department and RSU Police responded  to the outage.
