TULSA — Claremore’s two entries in the high school All-State tennis match suffered setbacks Tuesday at Philcrest Hills Tennis Club.

The East girls managed a tie with the West, 6-6, but the West boys rolled to an easy, 10-2 win. It marked the first time the West girls had not won in the All-State tennis competition, having posted five straight victories.

In the No. 3 match, Sarah Scoggin of Edmond North defeated Valerie McKinney of Claremore , 9-8.

Amanda Cline of Norman, in the No. 8 match, then stopped Lauren Skimbo of Claremore, 8-1.

Skimbo and McKinney teamed up in doubles, but came up short. Mallory Tagge of Enid and Allie Dickinson of Plainview handled the Claremore pair, 8-0.
