It’s been a year of challenges for the Claremore Zebras.

Junior Josh Dexter took the challenge and turned it into a personal showcase Friday night.

He led the way offensively and defensively as the Zebras defeated Catoosa, 23-7, for their second win this season.

For his all-around effort, Dexter is saluted as the Claremore Progress high school football Player of the Week.

He scored Claremore’s first two touchdowns, wiping out a 7-0 deficit, and rushed for 131 yards on 16 carries. In his best offensive performance of the season, he scored from 10 and one yards.

Defensively, the linebacker-tight end came up with 11 tackles to help shut down a Catoosa offense that had twice scored in the 50s.
