TULSA — Claremore junior Andrea Koch captured her second straight high jump gold medal Friday at the Class 5A state track championships at the East Tulsa Sports Complex.

She was going after another gold Saturday in the long jump as the track meet concluded with a full slate of activity.

Koch made three jumps before she could clear 5-feet-4-inches for her gold. That was her winning mark as a sophomore.

Runnerup Jalisa Richey missed her shot at 5-4.

In another track final on Friday, Claremore’s Lacey Hendrix finished sixth in the pole vault. Chelsea Threet of Shawnee had a 12-foot vault for her third straight state win, and Hendrix went 10-6.

In the team standings after the first day, Claremore and Catoosa were tied for fourth. Guthrie and Lawton MacArthur shared the lead.
