Claremore’s Dani Meisinger digs a serve in Thursday night’s four-set win over Muskogee. Meisinger had a big night for the Lady Zebras, leading the team with 12 kills and 19 digs.

CLAREMORE — The Claremore volleyball team came out on top Thursday in a four-set battle Class 6A Muskogee.

The two evenly-matched clubs went toe-to-toe with Claremore taking the first two sets 25-20 and 25-19.

The Lady Roughers fought back and took the third set, 26-24, but the Lady Zebras stepped on the gas and rolled to a 25-19 fourth and final set.

Dani Meisinger came up strong on offense and had 12 kills to lead the team. She also had 19 digs.

Madison Dugan had 11 kills and 11 digs.

Hailey Charles and Maddie Hardage combined for a whopping 16 kills and seven blocks.

Riley Renfroe had 23 assists, and Briley Penny and Becca Hilmes each had three aces.

Claremore is now 7-7.

In other action from around Rogers County, it was Wesleyan Christian over Claremore Christian 25-10, 25-13, 21-25, 27-125; and No. 2 (3A) Oklahoma Union over Oologah 3-0.
