This Friday and Saturday, six Rogers County high school girls and boys basketball teams will be trying to get out of district play without a loss as the half-dozen area teams competing in Class 2A-4A will play a district foe.

Four Class 4A teams — Inola, Catoosa, Claremore Sequoyah and Oologah — 3A Verdigris and 2A Chelsea will compete in their respective districts.

All teams, with the exception of Chelsea, will automatically advance to regionals. Chelsea is in a three-team district at Chouteau and must beat Afton on Friday to advance to regionals.

The following is a schedule for each team.

2A: Chelsea vs. Afton (Friday, girls 6:30 p.m., boys 8 p.m.). With a win, will play at 6:30 p.m. Saturday vs. Chouteau. First round of regionals will be played at Preston on Feb. 22.

3A: Morris at Verdigris (Friday, girls 6:30 p.m., boys 8 p.m.). Will play at Tahlequah Sequoyah Regional Feb. 22.

4A: Vinita at Inola (Saturday, girls 6:30 p.m., boys 8 p.m.). Will play at Catoosa Regional Feb. 22.

4A: Catoosa at Grove (Friday, girls 6:30 p.m., boys 8 p.m.). Will play at Catoosa Regional Feb. 22.

4A: Fort Gibson at Claremore Sequoyah (Saturday, girls 6:30 p.m., boys 8 p.m.). Will play at Fort Gibson Regional Feb. 22.

4A: Cleveland at Oologah (Saturday, girls 6:30 p.m., boys 8 p.m.). Will play at Oologah Regional Feb. 22.
