Blue, channel and flathead catfish good on live shad drifting flats and river channel. Largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass fair on bill baits, buzz baits, crankbaits, in-line spinnerbaits, jerk baits, plastic baits and spinnerbaits around brush structure, channel, in coves, creek channels, points, shallows, shorelines and standing timber. Crappie fair on grubs, hair jigs, jigs and minnows around brush structure, channels, in coves, creek channels and standing timber. Channel, flathead and blue catfish fair on live shad and shad along channels, in coves, creek channels, main lake and shallows. Lower Illinois: September 7. Elevation normal, water 60s and cloudy. Trout good on midges, nymphs, PowerBait and worms below the dam, along creek channels, rocks and Watts area. Report submitted by Jeremy Bersche, game warden stationed in Sequoyah County.

Sooner: September 11. Elevation normal, water 80s and clear. Largemouth bass good on jigs and plastic baits in coves, around points, shallows and weed beds. The bite for largemouth bass has been very good on frogs and other creature baits in shallow weed beds. Striped bass hybrids fair on shad and slabs in discharge and main lake.
