Foyil’s Panthers put the clamps on Ketchum in the second quarter Tuesday night, and then rolled up a 49-29 high school basketball victory on the Warriors’ home court.

Holding a 10-9 lead after the first quarter, Foyil limited Ketchum to two points in the second. With a 20-11 halftime edge, and Ketchum not eager to score, the Panthers were well on their way to their 10th victory.

“We filled up their passing lanes and made them shoot from outside, which they didn’t want to do,” Foyil coach Jason Ward said. “We played pretty good defense.”

Over their last three games, the Panthers have held opponents to 32, 29 and 27 points. Only three times in 14 games have the Panthers allowed more than 50 points.

Taylor Antle led Foyil with 15 points and Jason Kersey added 10. Tyler Ridgway had eight points and 10 rebounds. Eric Murray passed out seven assists.

Oologah got 42 points from its top trio and hammered Glenpool, 71-41, at Glenpool. The Lady Mustangs made it a sweep for the second time this season with a 57-38 victory. Four players combined for 50 points for the Lady Mustangs.

Oologah’s Mustangs evened their record at 7-7 as Jordan Barrett led a dozen scorers with 17 points.

Lachelle Hotfelt put up 17 points to lead the Lady Mustangs to their sixth victory against eight losses. She also had nine rebounds and six steals. Hotfelt and Taylor Jeffs dished out six assists each. Kaitlin Linihan contributed nine rebounds.
