FOYIL — Foyil took Barnsdall’s hopes away early in a game Friday night, and walked away to a 48-14 District A-6 high school football matchup of Panthers.

For a team with only four home games this season, Homecoming for Foyil Friday night was something special.

The last two weeks, Foyil has been on the road but has managed to maintain its 43-point per game average.

Along with the Old Grads, Foyil welcomed back sophomore quarterback Jared Ward.

Ward suffered a broken collarbone in the first game of the season and has been sidelined since. He was cleared to play Friday and started the game as a receiver. After Foyil opened a 35-0 halftime spread, Ward took some snaps at QB.

“He was a little rusty, but it is nice to have more options with two quarterbacks that can run and throw,” coach Trent Worley said.

Foyil totaled 494 offensive yards compared to Barnsdall’s 214.

“It seemed like it had been forever since we played at home, but it is always nice to win Homecoming,” Worley said.
