Foyil took the ball inside to its twin towers Monday night and took down Oklahoma Union, 64-27, in a high school basketball game on the Panthers’ home floor.

Jason Kersey and Tyler Ridgway, 6-4 bookends, caged the Cougars. Kersey, a senior, had 22 points, and the sophomore Ridgway scored 12. Kersey pulled in 13 rebounds, and Ridgway grabbed 10.

Eric Murray, 5-11 senior playmaker, dished out 10 assists.

Foyil jumped out to a 16-3 first-period lead and pushed that to 32-11 by halftime. Kersey scored 16 points and Ridgway scored 10 in the first half.

It was the Panthers’ second victory over Oklahoma Union. In the season-opener on Nov. 28, the Panthers prevailed, 81-37, on the Cougars’ floor.

Foyil improved to 9-4.

On Saturday, Collinsville stopped Oologah, 52-44, in the boys’ third-place game at the Pryor Invitational.

Chelsea defeated Caney Valley, 49-46, for third place in the boys’ bracket at the Caney Valley Invitational. The Chelsea girls fell to Liberty, 58-46, in the third-place game.
