Kansans Lynn Beckwith and Daniel Lynn won the Crappie Angler Sportsman Tour Classic on Oologah Lake Saturday.

In second place after Friday’s opening round, Beckwith and Lynn rallied on Saturday and won by two-tenths of an ounce.

They followed Friday’s haul of 9.55 pounds with a second-round catch of 9.98 for a total of 19.53. The second place team, Charles and Kevin Rogers, of Peculiar, Mo., pulled in Saturday’s top stringer, and finished at 19.51.

The tournament’s big crappie was hauled in on Saturday by Gregg Graham and Brendan Mick, both of Louisburg, Kansas. They boated a 2.09-pounder. Friday’s top catch weighed in at 1.87.

Friday’s first-round leaders, Jerry Hancock and Paul O’Bier, of Texas, slipped to third place. They had a 17.37-pound total.

Defending champions Bobby Goforth and Max Graham of Texas finished in 25th place this year.

The Claremore team of Craig Nichols and Tom Hensley, seventh a year ago, placed 12th. They had a two-day total of 14.65, including a 1.57-pounder.

Claremore’s husband and wife team, Danny and Becky Miller, finished with a two-day total of 10.11.

Beckwith, of Ozakie, Kansas, and Lynn, of Topeka, took home a new Polar Kraft boat with their win.
