The Rogers County Rangers did not allow a run Tuesday night, and extended their winning streak to 17 games with a doubleheader sweep in Ada.
The Claremore-based American Legion majors team used the run-rule in hammering Ada, 9-0, in the opener and Durant, 8-0, in the nightcap.
Both games were scheduled for nine innings, but the Rangers’ offensive output shortened each to seven innings.
In the opener, Matt Brimer went the distance and was the beneficiary of 17 Rangers hits.
Jared Peper’s home run in the second game triggered a 13-hit attack in support of Scott Branch’s shutout pitching.
The Rangers, running their record to 29-4, continue on the road tonight. They will be playing at Tahlequah, at 7 p.m.
The Rangers return home to Legion Field in Claremore for a 7 p.m. Thursday game with the same Tahlequah squad.
