Published July 24, 2008 10:51 am - Rangers win, return home The Rogers County Rangers hit three home runs Wednesday night and clubbed the Oklahoma Bandits, 15-10, in an American Legion majors baseball game at Tahlequah’s Phoenix Park.
The two teams will square off again tonight at Legion Field in Claremore. Game time is 7 p.m. It will be the final regular-season home game for the streaking Rangers. The Rangers are re-arranging their schedule as they look toward the state playoffs. The Rangers’ adjusted schedule released last week had them playing at home tonight through Sunday. Instead, the Rangers will play at Midwest City on Friday and Saturday, take off Sunday, then prepare for the majors district tournament at Legion Field beginning July 31. The Rangers have not lost since June and have an 18-game winning streak after Wednesday’s victory. David Chester hit a grand slam and Braden Best and Dillon Rogers homered. Tonight Rangers vs. Tahlequah, 7 p.m., Legion Field. Friday Rangers vs. Oklahoma City Brassfield, 6 p.m., at Midwest City. Rangers vs. Midwest City, 8 p.m., at Midwest City. Saturday
