ADAIR — Gravette, Ark., took two games from Claremore Sequoyah in the Adair Basketball Tournament opener Monday night.
The Lady Eagles fell 44-19, while the boys dropped a 58-22 contest.
In the girls game, Gravette held Sequoyah scoreless in the second quarter and held a 21-6 halftime lead. Gravette pushed its lead to 34-14 at the end of the third and cruised for the win.
The Lady Eagles will play at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Adair.
In the boys game, Josh Sabharwall was the Eagles’ leading scorer with 6 points. Gravette led 17-5 after one, and never let up. The Sequoyah boys will now play at 6 p.m. Thursday in the loser’s bracket game.
