WACO, Texas – Rogers State goalkeeper Cody Gammill was named the Heartland Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday (Oct. 30). It's the second time Gammill has earned the honor this season.

The senior from Frisco, Texas garnered the award for the sixth time in his career at RSU. He helped the Hillcats to two wins to end the season against Oklahoma Christian and Newman. Gammill went 135 minutes in those two games and didn't allow a goal while posting six saves. He started the week with a 3-0 shutout win over OC on Thursday. Gammill registered three saves in 90 minutes in the victory. He started on Saturday against Newman on Senior Day and went the first 45 minutes, totaling three saves. In the second half, fellow senior Walker Farrar appeared in the contest and allowed the one goal in the 3-1 win over the Jets.

For the season, Gammill went 6-3-1 in goal with three shutouts this season. He started in 10 of the 18 RSU contests and appeared in 12 games. In almost 888 minutes, Gammill totaled 39 saves and posted a 0.780 save percentage.

The Hillcats ended the season with an 8-7-3 record and 5-6-3 in the Heartland Conference.
