WACO, Texas – The Heartland Conference announced the 2018 Spring President's and Commissioner's Honor Roll with Rogers State totaling 125 student-athlete honorees for the spring semester, the highest tally for the Hillcats during the spring since joining the conference and the second-best mark behind this year's fall total of 136 honorees.

A total of 1,215 student-athletes from the nine Heartland Conference members were named to the President's or Commissioner's Honor Roll. More than 62 percent (756) of the student-athletes were named to the President's Honor Roll for maintaining a grade point average of 3.5 or higher during the spring semester. The remaining 459 student-athletes were named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll after posting a minimum grade point average of 3.0.

RSU placed 125 student-athletes on the Heartland Conference Honor Roll, the second-best total for the Hillcats since joining the Heartland Conference and the highest total during a spring semester. The highest tally came in the fall this year with 136 student-athletes on the Heartland Conference Honor Roll to make the 2017-18 academic year the most successful academic performance for the navy and red since joining the conference. A total of 73 Hillcats were named to the President's Honor Roll and 52 Cats were selected to the Commissioner's Honor Roll. RSU baseball led all Hillcat programs with 25 honorees, and women's soccer registered an impressive 16 student-athletes on the President's Honor Roll and ranked second overall with 18 Hillcats on the honor roll. Men's soccer was third with 16 honorees.

To be eligible for the Heartland Conference Honor Roll, student-athletes must have been on the eligibility list and eligible during the 2018 spring semester, and carry a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better for the Commissioner's Honor Roll or 3.5 or better for the President's Honor Roll.
