Rogers State freshman Summer White was named the Sooner Athletic Conference Offensive soccer Player of the Week on Monday.

The Broken Arrow product scored three goals in a 4-0 win over Our Lady of the Lake (San Antonio) Wednesday at Soldier Field. She tacked on an assist to give her a hand in all four scores and seven total points in the match.

A week ago, it was fellow freshman and former Broken Arrow standout Emily Givan who received the conference honor.

Givan and White have combined for nine goals and three assists through their first two collegiate matches.

The Hillcats, who were rained out Saturday at Southwestern College, are 2-0 after posting a pair of shutout victories.

White’s award marks the seventh consecutive week an RSU women’s player has been named the offensive player of the week dating back to 2007. All-American Robin Sutherland captured the honor in each of the final five weeks of the regular season last year. Sutherland was later named the SAC Newcomer and Offensive Player of the Year.

The Hillcats return to the pitch Friday to face regional foe Lindenwood University on the road in St. Charles, Mo.
