SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The Rogers State women's golf team started the spring schedule with a team score of 326 to rank in a tie for 10th place in one round at the Rattler Invitational on Monday (Feb. 12) at Dominion Country Club.

RSU's Mariana Flores and Veronica Grey paced the navy and red with scores of 9-over-par 81 to rank in a tie for 33rd place. Grey ranked toward the top of the field with 11 pars in the 18 holes.

Jess Whitting and Alex Massie were one shot back of the Flores and Grey, totaling a score of 10-over-par 82 to sit in 42nd overall. Massie posted two birdies in her round, tying for 10th in the field. The duo of Massie and Whitting were even on the par 5s to rank ninth in the invitational.

In the fifth spot for the Cats was Mica Eastin after her day one score of 14-over-par 86.

Dallas Baptist University sits in first by 12 shots after a first-round score of 294. St. Mary's is second with a team total of 306.
