In Sequoyah’s biggest game of the season, Corey Park made Berryhill look like an August preseason opponent.

He manhandled Berryhill, on offense and on defense, and helped deliver a stunning, 44-7 victory in a showdown of Top 5 unbeatens.

For his unyielding efforts, Park has been selected the Claremore Progress high school football Player of the Week.

He carried the ball 22 times and gained 157 yards, for a 7-yard average. He scored once, and had a 20-yard TD erased by a penalty. Six times he rushed for first downs.

Defensively, he registered 11 tackles to help hold the No. 4-ranked Chiefs to 45 yards on the ground through three quarters before he and the first team retired.

Berryhill entered the game averaging 33 points over four games, and giving up a total of 24 points. Sequoyah had 21 points at halftime.

Berryhill had 134 yards total offense, 23 less than Park ground out.
