The Claremore JV Red tripped up the Grove Ridgerunners, 2-1 Tuesday afternoon at Legendary Legion Field.
Luis Chevarria plated Nathan Hammack in the bottom of the fifth inning with a one-out bases loaded infield single.
Claremore sophomore pitcher Spencer Walden earned the win on the mound, tossing five innings with seven strikeouts, three walks and three hits.
Grove led 1-0 in the top of the first, but Claremore answered with Hayden Jones driving in David Moseby on an RBI-single in the bottom of the second inning.
Claremore had four singles and a double by Cameron Smith.
