The Northeastern State University Athletics Department announced its season ticket packages for the six-game home portion of the upcoming football schedule. Prices begin as low as $50 per person for an adult general admission ticket. Season chair back seats begin at $100 each, and additional seats after purchasing four are $90 each.
Season ticket holders receive the benefit of sitting in comfortable chair back seats. They also receive first option to purchase playoff tickets, premier seating for NSU's six home games (five MIAA games and one non-conference), excellent view of the playing surface and an optimal view of the halftime show featuring the NSU Band.
New for 2013 is the $25 single-game Family 4-Pack, which includes two general admission adult tickets and two general admission student tickets (ages 4 through high school). The Family 4-Pack may be purchased at any time and used at any regular season home game. All Northeastern State football home games are contested at Doc Wadley Stadium.
Also for convenience, the Athletics Department will implement online ticketing for football and basketball this season. Set to launch within the next few weeks, online ticketing will allow for advanced ticket sales.
All fans will be required to show a ticket prior to entering an NSU football or basketball contest. NSU students and faculty/staff will still be allowed free admittance, but NSU ID's will no longer be accepted as a form of entry.
Northeastern State is entering into the second season as members of the MIAA and will play against teams from one of the premier conferences in the country.
The RiverHawks will kick off their 2013 home campaign against Missouri Southern State at 2:30 p.m. Sept. 14. The game is scheduled as the MIAA Game of the Week and will be featured on the MIAA Network. Fans are encouraged to wear their NSU Green. All RiverHawks gear can be purchased by visiting goriverhawksgear.com, the official online store of RiverHawks Athletics.
Northeastern State will also play host to two teams that received top-20 national rankings last season and one school (Northwest Missouri State) that competed in the NCAA Championship.
The final home game of the season will be contested against rival Central Oklahoma at 1 p.m. Nov. 16. The event will be the first of three that day for NSU Athletics, as the basketball teams are also scheduled for the grand opening of the new $16 million event center.
