The Claremore Sequoyah basketball teams dropped a pair of non-conference games to Skiatook Friday night in the Olan Graham Fieldhouse.
After falling to Chelsea on Thursday, Sequoyah came up short one night later against the Class 5A Bulldogs.
Coming out in the girls game, Skiatook set the tone early with freshman guard Mikayla Schulanberger scoring a game-high 22 points.
Schulanberger helped Skiatook jump out to a 6-3 lead in the first quarter and a 13-11 margin at halftime.
Hunter Thompson tallied seven points and Aubyana Matussak added six to lead the Lady Eagles’ offense.
Skiatook outscored the Lady Eagles, 13-9 in the third quarter and increased its lead to 26-20.
Bulldogs 66, Eagles 63
Blake Mills tallied a game-high 30 points but it wasn’t enough as the Bulldogs clipped the Eagles, 66-63.
Skiatook opened with a 19-10 lead in the first quarter, but the Eagles rallied to tie the game at 31-31 at halftime.
Alex McGoffin also contributed with 21 points for the Eagles.
Austin Lawless had 20 points and A.J. Surritte scored 19 to lead the Bulldogs.
