OXFORD, Miss. — Mississippi coach Andy Kennedy says guard Marshall Henderson will miss games this season after being suspended from the program in July, though how many has not been determined.

Kennedy said on Tuesday that Henderson has been "100 percent compliant'' with athletic department mandates and has been allowed to return to practice.

The flamboyant guard was indefinitely suspended in July shortly before Oxford police confirmed that the 6-foot-2 guard had been found with what appeared to be a small amount of marijuana and cocaine. He was only cited for not having proof of insurance.

Henderson averaged 20.1 points per game last season, helping lead the Rebels to the NCAA tournament. But he's had several off-the-court issues, serving jail time for a probation violation in 2011 before coming to Oxford.
