Claremore placed 12th as a team at the Class 5A girls state cross country championships on Saturday.
Bailey Steckline led the Lady Zebras by finishing 26th over the 3,200-meter course in 13 minutes, 00.68 seconds. Jessica Hembree of Tahlequah won in a time of 11:48.10.
Other Claremore finishers included Lauren McKinney 67th in 13:42.73, Katelin Teter 74th in 13:53.80, Ashlynn Goodwin 90th in 14:24.46, Cayla Ray 94th in 14:37.42, Hailey Rodriguez 100th in 15:10.64 and Caitlin Kocjh 107th in 15:49.78.
Metro Christian won the team title with 59 points followed by Tahlequah with 79. Claremore had 304 points in taking 12th.
