CLAREMORE — The Will Rogers Junior High seventh and eighth grade football teams, as well as the Claremore High School ninth grade team plan to do a lot of traveling this fall.

The recent release of the 2013 football schedules for all three teams finds Claremore only hosting two home games this season for the sub-varsity teams.

Claremore’s home schedule has the Zebras/Colts hosting Tahlequah on Sept. 19 and Coweta on Oct. 15.

The season will kick off on Sept. 3 for the Colts and Zebras with a road trip to Catoosa. Game times are 5 p.m. (seventh grade), 6 p.m. (eighth grade) and 7 p.m. (freshmen).

The remaining road games include: Sept. 12 at Collinsville; Sept. 26 at Pryor; Oct. 1 at Glenpool; Oct. 3 at Skiatook and Oct. 22 at Bishop Kelley.

All home games will be played at Lantow Field.

This year’s freshmen Zebras will be coached by Perry Cagle and look to build on their 6-2 record in 2012. The freshmen will be led by quarterbacks Aaron McCollough and Jake McGuire, as well as running back Caleb Taylor and linebacker Brady Kropp.

* The eighth-grade Colts went 8-0 as seventh graders under head coach Jeff Taylor. The eighth-grade team will be led by quarterback Noah Grimmett, running back Ethan Morrow and linebacker Jack Meisinger.
