Claremore’s Teter highlights All-VYPE Soccer Team

CLAREMORE — Claremore High School graduate Katelin Teter closed out her prep soccer career with first-team recognition on the All-VYPE Magazine Tulsa-Area team.

Teter, a four-year starter,   was joined by Verdigris High School graduates Summer Witt and Caitlyn Hanslovan, as well as Claremore Sequoyah graduate Tana Dake and Catoosa High School graduate Bailee Muller.

This past season, Teter helped lead the Claremore Lady Zebras to the Class 5A State Semifinals while also earning All-State accolades.

Teter will continue her soccer career this fall at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah.

Witt and Hanslovan capped off their career with a fourth-straight Class 4A state championship.

Hanslovan, who is a two-time 4A State MVP and an All-State selection, tallied 90-plus goals over her four-year career at Verdigris HS and will compete for Oral Roberts University in the fall.

Dake, meanwhile, sparked  Sequoyah for the past four years while also leading the Lady Eagles to the Class 4A state playoffs.

In her final prep soccer game, Dake tallied a hat trick — three goals — in the All-State game.

Dake will continue her career in the fall at Tulsa University, alongside former Claremore Lady Zebra and Cascia Hall All-State standout Carlie Cook, who earned second-team All-VYPE recogntion.

Verdigris head coach Stacy Risenhoover was named the All-VYPE Tulsa-Area Coach of the Year.

Second-team honors went to the following Rogers County girls soccer players: Jentry Cruce (Claremore), Emily Parkinson (Claremore), Jade Graves (Verdigris) and Elle Stover (Catoosa).

Cruce also closed out her four-year prep career at Claremore High School with Class 5A All-State soccer accolades.
