Siloam Springs cruises past Lady Mustangs

INOLA — Siloam Springs guard Morgan Miller tallied a game-high 16 points and Bailey Cameron added 13 to lead the Lady Panthers past Oologah, 60-44 in the opening round of the Jerry Oquin Tournament Wednesday afternoon.

The win over Oologah advanced Siloam Springs to the semifinals against Verdigris.

Miller and the Lady Panthers built a 14-5 lead in the first quarter and then outscored Oologah, 18-12 in the second quarter to go up 32-17 at halftime.

Bailee Owens also contributed in the Siloam Springs’ scoring with eight points, while Mirna Torres added six. Mayse Pippin chipped in three points, followed by Haley Stewart, Ashlin Stock, Rachel Jones and Ali Eldridge with two each.

Brinley Evans paced Oologah with 12 points, while Grace Garrison and Courtney Sappington followed with eight apiece.

Emily Pashley also contributed with seven points, while Alex Edinger had six and Kelsey Garrison finished with three.

Siloam Springs outscored Oologah, 28-17 in the second half.
