BASEBALL: Arkansas hosts Alabama in 3-game series

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The Arkansas baseball team plays its first SEC series in Baum Stadium this weekend, hosting Alabama in a three-game series with game times set for 6:35 p.m. Friday, 2:05 p.m. Saturday and 1:05 p.m. Sunday.

Arkansas and Alabama enter the weekend as two of the four SEC teams currently on a three-game winning streak. The Razorbacks have won seven of their last eight meetings with the Crimson Tide, including a three-game sweep in Fayetteville in 2012. Arkansas holds a 19-14 edge all-time in games played in Fayetteville.

The pitching matchups are projected to feature LHP Jalen Beeks (3-2, 1.15) against RHP Spencer Turnbull (2-1, 0.31) on Friday and RHP Trey Killian (0-3, 3.06) against LHP Justin Kamplain (2-2, 3.67) on Saturday. Arkansas' pitcher Sunday is TBA, while Alabama is scheduled to start LHP Jon Keller (4-0, 1.63).
