TULSA — For the first time in over two weeks, the Oral Roberts baseball team returns home to face Dallas Baptist, beginning a tough stretch of games through the end of the month.
The Golden Eagles (5-6) and Patriots (5-8) match up in game one of a three game set at J.L. Johnson Stadium at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The series will continue on Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday afternoon at 1.
Last season, DBU got the best of the Golden Eagles in a high scoring affair during the Waco Regional, 11-8.
ORU is coming off a loss on a cold and windy day in Wichita, 8-1, this past Tuesday where it was two-hit for the first time since the 2003 season. The Patriots have struggled early this season, most recently splitting a two-game mid-week series on Tuesday and Wednesday at home against Texas Southern.
The Golden Eagles lead the all-time series against Dallas Baptist, 12-10. Friday marks the first time since the 2008 season that Dallas Baptist has made the trip to face ORU in J.L. Johnson Stadium.
