FOOTBALL: Carl Albert duo signs with OBU

SHAWNEE — Oklahoma Baptist picked up 23 new Bison for the football team on National Signing Day Wednesday.

 

"We're very excited about this class," said OBU Head Coach Chris Jensen. "We feel like we addressed out needs. We're a lot farther along today than we were last year. I feel very blessed to have the guys we signed today. We're still looking for a few more athletes to close out this class."

 

The Bison added offensive linemen Dalton Gillispie of Prague, Zach Clark of Westmoore, Zeth Higginbottom of Mustang, Jason Goff of Oklahoma Christian School, Brandon Garrett of Edmond North, Roby Worley of Rockwall-Heath (Texas) and Caleb Holland of Carl Albert.

 

New offensive additions also included Tuttle quarterback Cooper Koons and Norman North receiver Corbin Cleveland.

 

OBU added defensive backs Jon-Michael Hollarn of Tuttle, Kyle Self of Blanchard, Blake Johnson of Henryetta, Demetri Turner of Garland (Texas), D'Ante Meeking of Allen (Texas) and J.P. Coward of Prestonwood Christian Academy (Texas).

 

New linebackers include Christian Aduddell of Oklahoma Christian, Daniel Winnett from Fort Worth Christian, Ty Cook of Crandall (Texas), Jake Smith of Lawton MacArthur and Bo Bradshaw of Carl Albert.

 

New Bison defensive linemen are Jase Romine of McAlester, Edward Morgan Jr. of Grace Prep (Texas) and Gage Wimer of Blanchard.
