CLAREMORE — After going 1-2 last week, Rogers State fell out of the NAIA Division I Men's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll, announced Tuesday by the national office.
The Hillcats received 43 votes in the most recent poll, putting RSU at No. 29 if the poll was extended. The move out of the Top 25 Poll ends 24 consecutive weeks in the polls, which was the second longest active streak.
The top six in the poll remained pact as Columbia (Mo.) remains atop the poll receiving all 11 first place votes as the only undefeated team in NAIA Basketball. Lee (Tenn.) is second, Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) third, at fourth SAC member John Brown (Ark.) comes in as Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) and Westmont (Calif.) round out the top six.
Oklahoma Baptist remains at No. 10 in the poll while Mid-America Christian moved up two spots to a tie at No. 23.
Rogers State (18-8, 6-6) returns to action Thursday as Lubbock Christian comes to the Claremore Expo for a Valentine’s Day affair at 8 p.m. The game will be streamed with live video streaming on the Hillcat Network (www.rsuhillcats.com/live) and broadcast on RSU Radio 91.3FM and www.rsuradio.com.
