EDMOND — Central Oklahoma moved up one spot in the latest national rankings, with the Bronchos coming in No. 4 in the NCAA Division II Wrestling Coaches' Association poll released Monday.

Notre Dame (Ohio) maintained its position atop the rankings for the seventh consecutive time with 158 points, followed by two-time defending national champion Nebraska-Kearney with 151.

St. Cloud State (Minn.), national runner-up the past three seasons, is third with 146 points and UCO moved past Newberry (S.C.) into fourth with 133 points.

The Bronchos have four ranked individuals, topped by defending national champion and unbeaten Cory Dauphin at 157 pounds.  Chris Watson is second at 165, Jordan Basks fifth at 149 and Casy Rowell sixth at 133.

UCO will host the rugged NCAA Division II Central Super Regional Friday and Saturday at Hamilton Field House.  That 17-team tourney will feature seven top-20 teams – No. 2 UNK, No. 3 SCSU, No. 4 UCO, No. 6 Upper Iowa, No. 8 Lindenwood (Mo.), No. 15 Fort Hays State (Kan.) and No. 17 Ouachita Baptist (Ark.).

The regional serves as a qualifier for the national tournament, with the top-five placers from each weight advancing to the NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships March 14-15 in Cleveland, Ohio.
