ARLINGTON, Texas —
Second baseman Ian Kinsler is back on top of the Rangers' lineup.
Kinsler was in the starting lineup leading off for Texas on the card posted in the Rangers' clubhouse before Saturday's game against Toronto.
Out since May 18 with bruised ribs, he hadn't been expected to come off the disabled list for another day or two. His return comes with Texas mired in a season-long four-game losing streak. All those losses have been at home, with the Rangers scoring a combined five runs, including an 8-0 defeat Friday night.
While the Rangers had yet to officially announce a move Saturday, infielder Leury Garcia wasn't listed as a reserve on the lineup card.
Kinsler was hitting .302 with seven home runs and 20 RBIs in 40 games before going on the DL.
