CLAREMORE — Another one gets away...

The Pryor Tigers outscored Claremore, 11-4, in overtime and stole a 70-63 win over the Zebras Tuesday night in Metro Lakes Conference play.

Claremore’s loss extended its losing streak to 21 straight games.

Darrius Murphy keyed Claremore’s rally in the fourth quarter with clutch free-throw shooting and a three-pointer as the Zebras tied the game at 59-59.

Murphy would finish with 12 points and Brett Russell added 11 in their final home games in a Zebra uniform.

After Russell and senior guard Daniel Lauer got issued technical fouls in the third quarter, the two players never returned to the floor.

The Zebras led 42-35 with 0:30 left in the third quarter on Randy Williams’ penetrating layup from Hunter Garroutte.

Pryor, however, answered with a strong inside game led by Ryan Ogg and Daniel Frailey.

Ogg and Frailey combined for 35 points and 12 rebounds.

After Garroutte’s jumper put the Zebras up 46-40 with 6:17 left in regulation, Frailey answered with a basket in the paint to make it 46-42.

Several clutch baskets from Zac Baumert down the stretch keyed Pryor’s surge into overtime.

Dontre Murphy opened the overtime period with his fifth foul, leading to Baumert’s free throw conversions that put Pryor up 61-59.

The Tigers continued their charge with Frailey knocking down the baseline jumper to make it 63-59.

Senior forward Grady Caton scored Claremore’s only four points in the overtime, to make it 66-63 with 17 seconds remaining.
