"We had a lot of hitting today. We put a lot of pressure on them, and had baserunners all over the place," Tulsa Head Coach John Bargfeldt said. "Julie put us up big early in the first game with two outs. We put pressure on them early in the second game, but couldn't get that timely hit right away. Once we did, we just kept going. Sill did a great job of not giving them any free baserunners. Aimee did a great job of putting zeroes on the board for a long time."
In Game 1, Kernen hit a three-run double in the first inning, a one-run double in the third inning, and a two-run single in the sixth inning. The double in the first inning came with two outs and followed a single by Samantha Cobb and two walks. She then scored on a base hit by Horner.
Haley Henshaw doubled with one out in the third inning and scored on Kernen's two-base hit. Cierra Hughes hit a two-out RBI single and Cassidy Bowen hit an RBI double to make the score 7-0. Henshaw hit a one-out single in the fifth and scored on a base hit up the middle by Horner.

The Hurricane added three runs in the sixth inning on an RBI single by Henshaw and Kernen's two-run base hit. Cobb, who singled, and Blanton, who pinch ran after a Lacey Middlebrooks single, and Henshaw scored the three runs in the inning.
The Golden Hurricane broke a scoreless tie in Game 2 with three runs in the top of the fourth inning.
