NAIA Opening Round tickets on sale

CLAREMORE — Tickets for the baseball and softball NAIA National Tournament Opening Round, hosted by Rogers State University, are now available for purchase.

Fans can buy advanced tickets for both the baseball and softball opening rounds by calling the RSU Ticket Office at 918-343-7578. Single day tickets are $10 for adults, $6 for students and children six and under receive free admission. Single day tickets are good for all games played that day. All-session passes are also available for each tournament. Fans can buy an adult all-session pass for $25 and $15 for an all-session student pass.

“We are excited to host the World Series Opening Round and the inaugural Softball Opening Round,” Director of Athletics Ryan Bradley said. “ It is a great opportunity to showcase Claremore and Rogers State University on the national stage. We hope our entire community will rally around this prestigious event and join us at the Diamond Sports Complex for some outstanding college baseball and softball."

The baseball opening round is slated for May 9-13 and features five teams battling in the double-elimination tournament for a spot at the Avista-NAIA World Series in Lewiston, Idaho. The 45 qualifiers and brackets for the National Championship Opening Round will be announced on May 5.

The inaugural NAIA Softball National Championship Opening Round will be played May 13 – 15 and features a four-team double elimination tournament with one team advancing to the Softball National Championship final site in Columbus, Ga. The 40 qualifiers and pairings for the National Championship Opening Round will be announced May 7.

Both the baseball and softball Opening Rounds will be played inside the newly renovated Diamond Sports Complex located on RSU’s Claremore campus.

    Meranda Golbek and Sarah Szcinski, a pair of 2014 Claremore High School graduates, earned All-State honors for their athletic training careers and will join two other student trainers from Jenks and Stillwater High School on the East squad.
