CHELSEA — The Chelsea Green Dragons can take a major step forward in the District 2A-7 race with a key win tonight over the Adair Warriors.

Chelsea enters the 7 p.m. showdown with a 2-4 overall and 2-0 league record; while Adair is 6-0 overall and 3-0 in district.

Last Friday, the Green Dragons picked up their second win of the season, defeating Oklahoma Union, 40-21.

The stakes, though, are bigger this week as Chelsea’s defense looks to stop an Adair offense that is averaging 46 points per game.

Running back Zak Woolman keys the Adair offense with 744 yards on 119 carries and 13 touchdowns.

Quarterback Brady Bradburn has completed 66-of-85 passes for 887 yards and nine touchdowns with only four interceptions.

Defensively, the Warriors are holding opponents to 14 points per contest.

Chelsea’s offense is averaging 16.5 points per game.
