FOYIL — Chelsea doubled up Rogers County rival Foyil 36-18 Friday night at McGregor Field.

Damien McLeod finished with 209 yards rushing on 33 carries and scored three touchdowns for the Green Dragons (1-1).

Brett Whitaker had a pair of rushing touchdowns and passed for 122 yards for the Panthers (0-2).

Chelsea scored on its first possession, courtesy of a 48-yard touchdown run from McLeod at the 9:19 mark of the first quarter.  Logan Rudd added the two-point conversion.

Rudd stretched the lead to 14-0 after he scored on a 9-yard run with 10:20 remaining in the second period.

The advantage grew to 22-0 when Zack Eidschun connected with Dalton Feathers on a 31-yard scoring strike at the 6:50 mark of the second quarter.  McLeod ran in the two-point conversion.

Rudd set up that touchdown after he retuned an interception 29 yards on the previous play.

Foyil got on the board with 4:09 left in the first half when Joseph Schubert scored on a 3-yard touchdown run.

McLeod stretched the lead back to 28-6 after he scored on a 4-yard run with just 46 seconds to play in the first half.

The Panthers got within 28-12 at the 3:06 mark of the third period after Whitaker scored on a 9-yard keeper.

Whitaker scored again on a 15-yard run but the two-point try failed to keep the Green Dragons ahead 28-18 with 11:03 remaining.

McLeod then sealed the deal as he scored on a 7-yard touchdown run and added the two-point conversion with 7:30 to play.

Chelsea returns to action on Friday against Salina.
