Bryan Journey, a 28-year-old resident of Moore, and Indira Murr, a 39-year-old resident of Tulsa, claimed first-place overall honors in the Claremore Lake Triathlon held over the weekend.
The event consisted of a 750-meter swim, 20K bike ride and a 5K run.
Journey competed in the Male Division and finished the triathlon in a time of 1 hour, 8 minutes and 44.2 seconds. Murr, meanwhile, won the Female Division in a time of 1 hour, 15 minutes and 15.8 seconds.
Along with Journey, Alan Ball, 29 of Tulsa, placed second with a time of 1:10:03.7 and Ryan Jordan, 26 of Oklahoma City, was third with a time of 1:10:22.5.
Mark Welch, a 43-year-old resident of Claremore, finished fourth in the Male Division with a time of 1:10:34.7. Welch also won the 40-44 age division.
Claremore’s Jim Hix claimed top honors in the 70-98 age division with a time of 1:32:37.3; while Claremore’s Austin Welch won the 99-plus division with a time of 1:41:36.7.
In the Female Division, Cynthia Carr, 48 of McAlester, placed second with a time of 1:20:44.8 and Whitney Marsh, 37 of Arkansas, was third with a time of 1:22:34.6.
Claremore’s Carrie O’Bryan, 35, placed fourth with a time of 1:25:54.3.
