Dustin Weiesnbach provided the ‘clutch’ hit in the bottom of the fifth inning and scored the winning run as the Claremore ‘2A’ Zebras rallied past Bartlesville, 7-6 Tuesday night at Legion Field.
Weiesnbach’s double off the left field wall drove in Dakota Rader, who led off the fifth with a single to right field.
The dramatic fifth inning continued with Jeff Oxford drawing a walk and then Parker Price delivering a game-tying RBI-single to left-center field to plate Bryson Vanover.
Knotted at 6-6, Claremore’s Nick Dotson got ahead in the count at 2-1 and then a wild pitch from Bartlesville’s Keenan McClure allowed Weiesnbach to score the winning run.
Claremore overcome a 1-0 deficit in the bottom of the third, scoring four runs on three hits.
Justin Ragsdale’s two-run single and Brady Brim’s RBI-single helped put Claremore ahead 4-1.
Bartlesville regained the 6-4 lead in the top of the fifth inning, scoring five runs on two hits and one Claremore fielding error.
