Chelsea sweeps Foyil

CHELSEA — The Chelsea Green Dragons pulled off a clean sweep Friday night, taking down Rogers County rival Foyil.

In the girls game, Halee Tyler tallied 13 points and Faith Wooten chipped in nine to lead the Lady Dragons past Foyil, 45-31.

Chelsea (9-3) jumped out to a 20-5 lead in the first quarter and outscored Foyil, 10-2, in the second quarter to extend the halftime margin to 30-7.

Abby Scahtz also contributed with six points, while Rachel Beck had five and Brittany Wisdom had four.

Maddie Webb led Foyil with 13 points.

Foyil outscored Chelsea, 24-15 in the second half.

In the boys’ game, Foyil’s 17-14 first quarter wasn’t enough to hold off Chelsea, as the Green Dragons prevailed past the Panthers’ 47-40.

Wes Noland led the Panthers with 11 points and Paxton Smith added eight.

The Green Dragons were led in scoring by Tyler with 18 points and Ricks with 14. Bo McSpadden also contributed with 6.

Chelsea outscored Foyil, 12-1 in the second quarter to lead 26-18 at halftime.
