NORMAN — Both the Associated Press and the Big 12 Conference coaches announced their All-Big 12 teams on Wednesday.
Oklahoma center Gabe Ikard, safety Tony Jefferson, cornerback Aaron Colvin were first-team selections on both teams.
Fullback Trey Millard was a first-team selection at fullback for the coaches. He was the second-team tight end on the AP team.
Wide receiver Kenny Stills was a second-team selection on both teams.
Landry Jones had matching votes with West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith on the AP’s second team. The coaches went with Smith as their second-team quarterback behind Kansas State’s Collin Klein.
Left tackle Lane Johnson, defensive end David King, cornerback Demontre Hurst and running back Damien Williams were second-team picks on the coaches and honorable mention picks with the AP.
Offensive linemen Bronson Irwin, Adam Shead and Daryl Williams, wide receiver Justin Brown, kicker Michael Hunnicutt and safety Javon Harris all received honorable mention recognition.
Wednesday marked the 87th straight season OU placed at least one player on the all-conference first-team. The streak dates back to 1926 and its days as a member of the Missouri Valley Conference.
