CLAREMORE — The Zebras evened their district record at 2-2 (5-3 overall) with a quick and easy sweep of Tulsa Hale Tuesday afternoon at Legion Park.
The Zebras won game one 10-0 in three innings and capped the day with an 11-0 win in another three inning game.
Brady Priess pitched a perfect game in the opener, nine up and nine down in just 28 pitches. He struck out five.
The Zebras had five hits and walked six times. They were also aided by three Hale errors.
Tristin Hampton doubled and had three RBIs. Jackson Martin singled in two runs, as did Brooks Sherl. Claremore scored five in the first inning four in the second and ended it with a run in the bottom of the third.
In game two, it was Hampton’s turn at a no-hitter. He struck out eight of the 10 batters he faced, and without Claremore’s defense committing one error, he would have also had a perfect game. Hampton threw just 38 pitches.
Again, the Zebras had five hits and walked 10 times.
Garrett Wood and Martin each had two-run singles. Wood and Sherl each scored twice.
The Zebras will now host NOAH at 5 p.m. Friday before heading out to the Gulf Coast Classic Tournament during Spring Break.
