CLAREMORE —

Lt. Gov. Todd Lamb will speak to Rogers County Republicans at 6:30 p.m. tonight at Northeast Technology Center.
The event is open to the public.
Lamb is no stranger to this part of Oklahoma, or any other in the state for that matter.
During his career, Lamb has visited each of Oklahoma’s 77 counties a minimum of five times, a rare feat for any individual, and has been to Rogers County far more often than that.
Thursday’s visit to Claremore will give Republicans in the area a chance to hear Lt. Gov. Lamb speak about his economic development efforts for the state and the way Oklahoma’s traditional values and work ethic prime it for success in the coming decades.
Elected in 2010 as Oklahoma’s second Republican lieutenant governor, Lamb has focused on growing business in Oklahoma, as well as making our state a national leader economically, recruiting the best and the brightest for Oklahoma’s growing workforce, and encouraging young entrepreneurs to make Oklahoma their home.
Because of Lamb’s leadership in Oklahoma, Lt. Governors from across the nation elected him to serve as chairman of the National Lieutenant Governor’s Association.
Governor Lamb has a long record of public service including serving as a Special Agent with the United States Secret Service where he was involved in the areas of counterfeiting, banks fraud, threats against the President and identity theft.
With private sector experience in the oil and natural gas and telecommunication industries, Lamb was elected as a State Senator in 2004 and rose to the level of Majority Floor Leader.  For his work in promoting growth of small business, Lamb was named legislator of the year by NFIB.
Lt. Gov. Lamb and his wife of 18 years, Monica, have 2 children and are active members of Quail Springs Baptist Church where he serves as deacon. He is also a member of the Oklahoma Secondary Schools Athletic Association and is active in many other civic and political organizations.
