New development coming to Catoosa

CATOOSA —

Preliminary dirt work is underway  just east of the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Catoosa.
City officials have not yet offered any formal statements regarding plans for construction, said Catoosa Interim City Manager Judy Scullawl.
Scullawl referred inquiries to developer Cindy Robson.
Robson said the development will be as large as it was projected in 2011 when Catoosa city councilors began discussing plans for construction of a 61-acre commercial development.
While discussion and planning continues, Robson said Catoosa’s new mayor and city council are helping developers finalized details on the project.
Robson said future details of the development at Catoosa Hills would be formally released in the coming weeks.
In May 2011, city officials told    The Claremore Daily Progress the development could bring 750 to 1,000 part-time and full-time jobs.
Plans called for a department store, restaurants and  more than a dozen shops.
