TULSA — Can the Chelsea Green Dragons take down Lincoln Christian for the second year in a row?

Inside the Chelsea locker room, tonight’s showdown in Tulsa has been circled on the calendar ever since last season’s 26-21 victory over the Bulldogs.

In that game, former Chelsea running back Donovan McLeod ran for 199 yards and three touchdowns as the Green Dragons pulled off their biggest victory of the 2010 season.

One year later, Chelsea rolls into Lincoln Christian with an undefeated record (7-0 overall, 4-0 District 2A-7) and is led by running back Taurus Yorkman.

On the season, Yorkman has sparked the Chelsea ground attack with 579 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Up the road, the Bulldogs’ offense is led by junior quarterback Austin Grauer, who has completed 97-of-171 passes for 1,320 yards and 14 touchdowns with only three interceptions.

Senior running back Zack Simmons also leads Lincoln Christian with 767 yards and 14 touchdowns.

The difference-maker tonight could be Chelsea quarterback/defensive back Caleb Captain, who has four interceptions to lead the Green Dragons secondary.

Note: Lincoln Christian can clinch the 2A-7 title with a win. However, a Chelsea victory would make it a three-team race with Newkirk  for the No. 1 spot in district.
