INOLA — The Inola Educational Enrichment Foundation met recently to discuss teacher grants, future fundraising ideas, a membership drive, building a data base, using the Internet to locate alumni and future scholarships for Inola’s graduating students.

Treasurer Drew Turner presented the financial report.

The Foundation has raised approximately $50,000 in donations since being incorporated in 2009 and awarded approximately $13,000 in teacher grants, plus a $2,500 scholarship grant.

President Rosalie Griffith stressed the importance of continuing to build the Foundation’s resources and funds in order to be successful in obtaining the goals the membership has set out for the future of the organization. Members agreed and will be working on positive solutions to get their goals accomplished.

A newsletter will be out later this month outlining some of the ideas presented for the coming year.

The Foundation meets quarterly. Committees work independently and report to the membership when necessary and special meetings are called when immediate decisions are needed by the Trustees.
