County slates ‘Trash Off’ schedule

CLAREMORE —

Rogers County will host a “Trash Off” event beginning Thursday and running through Saturday at several locations throughout the county to provide free trash dumping services to residents.
Each county commissioner will offer the services.
“Offering this service once a year gives the residents of Rogers County a chance to dispose of items that are difficult to get rid of, and keeps them from being dumped in ditches and on county roads,” Rogers County District 1 Commissioner Dan DeLozier said.
DeLozier has been offering the trash dump day in cooperation with the Oklahoma Annual Trash-Off event.
District 1 will accept trash at five locations: Chelsea Wharehouse, Chelsea Industrial Park, Claremore Warehouse, Tri-District Fire Department Stations 1 and 2 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
District 3 will offer three sites: Claremore county barn, Inola yard and in Catoosa form 6:30 a.m to 4 p.m. on Thursday and 9 a.m to 3 p.m. on April Friday and Saturday.
District 2 will be accepting trash on Saturday only at the county barn in Oologah from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Residents will be allowed to dump in the district they live in and can call the commissioner’s office to verify at (918) 341-0585 or by contacting the county barns at (918) 789-2279 for District 1, (918) 443-2441 for District 2 or (918) 341-2380 for District 3.
