LENAPAH — A Rogers County woman was admitted in critical condition to a Tulsa hospital Tuesday morningfollowing a single-vehicle accident near Lenapah.

According to the report of OHP Trooper Jason McCarthy, 29-year-old Amber Large of Talala was eastbound on a county road 3.5 miles west of Lenapah in her 2006 Nissan Pathfinder just before 10 a.m.

When Large failed to negotiate a curve, her vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned one and one-quarter times before coming to rest on the passenger’s side, reports indicate. During the incident, Large was ejected approximately 30 feet through the driver’s door, according to the OHP report.

She was then transported by Life Flight Air Ambulance to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa in critical condition with trunk internal injuries.

Seatbelts were equipped in Large’s vehicle, but not in use at the time of the accident, according to reports.
