Shaffer says it appears the machinery used to make those rods was not damaged by the fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Dover Corporation, an $8 billion company acquired UPCO on Dec. 28, 2012 through Norris Production Solutions.
The manufacturer produces products used in the artificial lift segment of the oilfield services industry.
Prior to the transaction, UPCO was locally owned.
UPCO’s 140,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility, located in Claremore, is the second largest in the world for the production of sucker rods. UPCO has the total capacity to produce over thirty million feet per year of sucker rods, according to the company website.
